The fearless and beloved leader of the Natty Rats, Brutus (full name Brutus McTominay, IV), has been causing a stir recently. Several members of the papaRATzi report that Brutus has not been seen in public in some time; most notably at the recent “Storming of the Ratstille”. Rumors have begun swirl about Brutus’s health.
Brutus is no spring chicken, well, no spring rat I guess you’d say; he is indeed said to be “ancient”. This reporter was, of course, disturbed by these rumors and decided to investigate further after receiving no comment from his agent. When quotes were solicited from the smaller members of the rat pack, they were found to have been practicing their scurrying and could not be located.
Eventually this Reporter managed to find Stella (full name Stella Potts La-Grange), who had recently married Brutus in a very public, very lavish ceremony, and she was gracious enough to sit down for an interview.
Curling her tail around the chair leg demurely and looking a trifle nervous, Stella was very candid. She said that her husband had indeed been of ill health recently, but this is not related to Covid-19. “He’s not as young as he used to be” she told us, “but he still acts young. The week before last he slipped in the shower, and that was when I decided we were going to see the RatMaster, who took us immediately to the animal hospital in Virginia.”
Stella went on to tell us that the doctors were concerned, as it looked like Brutus was going to need some special care; they recommended a referral to the Rodent Specialist Center (RSC) in North Carolina.
